I think that the drone technology is good for our security. Peter Fin writes in his article " As a police get drones some get worried about privacy" that we don't have privacy because drones are anywhere, above the ground and sometimes they are invisible eyes in the sky. This is the method the police found to record our activities with pervasive surveillance in order to make their investigations easier. Drones are one of the methods that have given a satisfactory result to protect our security although  many people don't agree with it.  Police should  keep using drones to save us from crime.

Family Farms

Family farms had disappeared due to the ambition of the humans. Farmers had sold their lands to the farm factory and animals don't have the same care that they used to have with their farmers. People from this industry apply disturbing methods to accelerate the metabolism of the animals in order to get what they need from the animal as soon as possible. Therefore, they can sell the products to the supermarkets. They don't care about the quality, but the quantity, because if there are more products, they get more money, regardless of the health of animals or humans.

People who work for the farms factories treat the animals  as things that can't feel. They separate the babies from their mother at birth feeding them with artificial milk, they torture cows injecting them with RBGH hormone that is marketed to dairy farmers to increase milk production in cows.

Family Farms

Family Farms

We can see how dramatically the family farms had disappeared due to the ambition of the humans. People don't care about the quality but the quantity of what they can get from a farm animal, that is why they employ horrible methods to get what they need from the animals even if they hurt them. we should try to stop this situation at least with avoid buying the products from this industry. It is not healthy because we are eating the chemicals that this industry  give to the animals in order to speed the production, that is why there are a lot of new diseases every day.

Why people think they are living in a reality show

Why people think they are living in areality show

Our culture is based in an un real world in many wayswe dont even notice. We can relate the film " the truman show which director is Peter Weir in 1998, with  our own world. This film is exactly like a "Big brother show" or any social network, this both things can show the reaction of the humans. We all like o see tge reaction of somebody else, but not from ourselves.  the good thing for some people is that we are able to disguise our reality to show what we want to show to the world.

First of all. when we watch a TV show like "the big brother" we like to see what is going to happen the next day , because we identified with the show. we see that they have our same reactions when we have stress. the group of people in this kind of TV show, try to live with strangers only for money/ in the real live we don't haveto live with this people, but treat with strangers all the time. For example, when we get a new job or go to school. we don't have the option opf only leave the game if we don't feel comfortable, but we have the option of create our world with the internet.

we know that it is hard to be content with what we have, we know that we can not change the real life, but what about the virtual one? we all know that sometimes we don't look like a super star as we try to show on facebook or as smart as we try to be on twitter. We try to be a famous people with what we write or show on the virtual world. we try to espress ourselves with words from oters to let the people think we wrote it. we write that we are special people, intelligent, that we make the world go around, just to impress others with things that we know have a big part of lie, but we enjoy shoing up about everything wwe have or not,, and whem we leave the virtual world we fell rare and despair. that is why every single person have social networks, because we need to thing that our fake life has part of reality.

The "truman show" can not be real but we all need a minute of that TV show. we wish to have a perfect life like "truman" for a while, that is why we create the social networks, because we need a part of peace in our life. we would like to stop caring about our problems and start caring about our happeness. I don't want  to have an easy life as truman, because i like the fact that i can obtain my goals with hard work and education, i would like to rest a weekend in truman's world, but not live ther forever. if i were in his position to decide between both worlds, I would rather this hard world than the fake one. that is why i destroyed all my social networks, because i need to have my feet on the ground, i don't want to disguise my reality, but enjoy it the way it is. it can sound boring, but i love my real life,

In conclusion, our culture give us the option to create our own world, we can use social networks or watch crazy TV shows like "Truman show" but it depends on each person to live an imaginary world or enjoy working hard to be the person we really want to be and make this difficult world in our almost perfect world.

1. The Perfect World

1. The Perfect World
Cristof creates what he considers a “perfect world” for Truman to live “happily ever after.”

How does Seahaven compare to your world in terms of family life, neighborhood life, work life, and leisure time?

Sehaven make us visualize our apparently live, we think everybody has that easy live, we think that only us have problems, and sometimes we wish we don't have to care about them anymore. All of us would have a little part of Seahaven in our lives. People say lies for the same reason, because the truth can hurt, and we don't want to hurt somebody with the harsh reality, we disguise the reality as Cristof did. Seahaven can be compared with "Neverland" the world in which every child wants to live because they don't have to grow up, care about any problems or try to survive, because they are "prisoners of a perfect world.  In the real world we don't have a choice between the easy and difficult live.

Would you choose to live in Cristof’s world. Why or why not?
I would not choose that fake live, because i prefer be hurt with the truth than live a life full of lies. i want to fall a thousand of times and learn from my mistakes, I think it is better to feel the happiness that you obtain by trying lots of times one thing, and you finally achieve what you wanted. That would never happen in Cristof's world, because everything was a boring routine. The protagonist didn't the have the option to decide by himself at the binging until Trueman decided to be in the real life. We have to make life as smooth as possible, in order to enjoy it even with its bad moments.

Individuals in groups

                                                                 Individuals in groups

According to Carol Tavris with "in groups We shrink" most people tend  feel more compassion when they observe a disaster on their own. She gives us some examples of experiments that she found  to proof her opinion about how careless we are when we are in groups. She argues that if there are a lot of people witness the calamity, most people won't try to help. The psychologists call this "diffusion of responsibility" because we always try to wait until somebody else takes care of the problem. We try to avoid the responsibility of helping a stranger because we think that we are not supposed to risk our lives for someone who is not even our friend.

We are not a bad people for not helping others in any risk we witness because we can not be a hero all the time. Sometimes we have to see if it is right to intervene in the problem, because we could be a dead heroes if we are not careful.. Sometimes when we don't act we help more than doing it.  I remember when i thief tried to steal me and people who where around didn't do anything, at the beginning I thought they were  bad people but now I realize  that I just could not wait that they risk their life for me, because they didn't even know me and if they would do something about it, maybe the thief would be scared and would have killed all of us. That people could feel the need to do something, but the scenario was  impossible to let them act.

People feel compassion for other people because we all are humans, and we are sensitive if we see something unfair or even a natural disaster. We all remember what happened in Chile, the earthquake that killed many people in that country was horrible. If we see this kind of disaster, we feel bad, but don't do anything about it, because we think we can't. But, if someone says that we should be a united group and help each other, even with a small monetary donation. we start helping the affected population, because in this case we think, we are a big group of super heroes.  If we change the situation, and it is not about a natural disaster, but a supermarket robbery. If there is only one person witnessing the disaster, this person will call the police immediately, because this person know that nobody else can do anything about it. But if there were more people witnessing the robbery. Nine of ten people in this group think that maybe somebody else already called the police, and they don't move one finger to stop the robbery, they try to avoid the responsibility.

The best way to discover how humans we are is seeing a person we love in risk, because we will do anything to help that person. I remember when i was in high school, I had an attack of asthma in the classroom, and I thought I was going to die, but everybody in the classroom worked as a team, and helped me out. They didn't see each other, to see who was going to do something first, they just act as the humans they are. Nobody was selfish and they call the emergency line to provide me the respective medical assistance. I think it depends on the risk of the situation and the person  they see in danger. As far as I am concerned, they helped me because they knew me, maybe if I were a completely stranger I wouldn't run with the same fate.

It depends on each person to be a super hero or be one more of a specific group of people who  people who witness an anomaly. Most of the time we notice that we are humans, when we are the victim because, we don't have to give help, we hope somebody to give it to us.  When somebody else is in the risk, and it is a completely stranger to us, we forget that we are humans, and we wait until someone else help him or her.

I know the Truth, So Don't bother me with facts (Essay)

THE NEED FOR EVIDENCE TO BELIEVE IN SOMETHING.

According to Jeffrey Kluger in "I know the Truth, So Don't bother me with facts."  Nowadays, scientist are trying to find the best way to release people from erroneous beliefs. These studies determine if people change their mind easily or if they are strong in their beliefs when they are exposed to the facts such as pictures or a particular kind of evidence. However, a few people have strong beliefs that no matter how reliable the proofs seem, they will never change their mind. I believe that there is no such a wrong beliefs , because people's believes are based on the way they were raised, the circumstances that make them believe on it, and how strong their believes are.

Everybody needs to believe in something. Over the years, people had the need to believe in anything they feel comfortable with. In other words, most of the people put their faith in something unbelievable. Columbia's University made a studio, illustrating a statistic showing that 8 of 10 people believes in God because they think that they don't have to see God to know that is real, and the rest of people said that is illogical to believe in something that  they can not see. There are some facts that people use as a strong reasons to believe in these things, and convince themselves that is the truth.

Most of the time the circumstances in which we grow up, make us believe in some specific things. My family is catholic and they show me how lovely is to believe in God, they show me that if I want something so bad, i have to put my faith in God and everything is going to be in my favor. I am one of the people that think they don't need facts to believe in God, it doesn't matter if someone bring a proof of the nonexistence of God, i will always believe in him. In the other hand, i know a person who grew up in a Catholic family, but the news and comments from other people completely affected his beliefs, or what his parents wanted to teach them about God. Sometimes, people have strong believes because they don't have more options.

People cling to their beliefs for their own convenience. Some people believe in God only because they think that God exists in order to resolve their problems. But if they don't see good results after they wished something, they start thinking that maybe God is not real, and it is so selfish because I believe that God is an example of the real love, not a wish source. So, if you show a proof of the no existence of God, they will change their mind immediately, because they had the doubt before the proof, and it is going to be easier to believe in something they can read or see, than something that somebody told them to have faith in,  because only love can move montains.

Some people hardly try to sustain their beliefs, but the facts don't let them do it. If the data they read tell them that something is not real, they assume it must be true, and change their mind, but there will always be people who do not need evidence to believe in certain things.
