I know the Truth, So Don't bother me with facts (Essay)

THE NEED FOR EVIDENCE TO BELIEVE IN SOMETHING.

According to Jeffrey Kluger in "I know the Truth, So Don't bother me with facts."  Nowadays, scientist are trying to find the best way to release people from erroneous beliefs. These studies determine if people change their mind easily or if they are strong in their beliefs when they are exposed to the facts such as pictures or a particular kind of evidence. However, a few people have strong beliefs that no matter how reliable the proofs seem, they will never change their mind. I believe that there is no such a wrong beliefs , because people's believes are based on the way they were raised, the circumstances that make them believe on it, and how strong their believes are.

Everybody needs to believe in something. Over the years, people had the need to believe in anything they feel comfortable with. In other words, most of the people put their faith in something unbelievable. Columbia's University made a studio, illustrating a statistic showing that 8 of 10 people believes in God because they think that they don't have to see God to know that is real, and the rest of people said that is illogical to believe in something that  they can not see. There are some facts that people use as a strong reasons to believe in these things, and convince themselves that is the truth.

Most of the time the circumstances in which we grow up, make us believe in some specific things. My family is catholic and they show me how lovely is to believe in God, they show me that if I want something so bad, i have to put my faith in God and everything is going to be in my favor. I am one of the people that think they don't need facts to believe in God, it doesn't matter if someone bring a proof of the nonexistence of God, i will always believe in him. In the other hand, i know a person who grew up in a Catholic family, but the news and comments from other people completely affected his beliefs, or what his parents wanted to teach them about God. Sometimes, people have strong believes because they don't have more options.

People cling to their beliefs for their own convenience. Some people believe in God only because they think that God exists in order to resolve their problems. But if they don't see good results after they wished something, they start thinking that maybe God is not real, and it is so selfish because I believe that God is an example of the real love, not a wish source. So, if you show a proof of the no existence of God, they will change their mind immediately, because they had the doubt before the proof, and it is going to be easier to believe in something they can read or see, than something that somebody told them to have faith in,  because only love can move montains.

Some people hardly try to sustain their beliefs, but the facts don't let them do it. If the data they read tell them that something is not real, they assume it must be true, and change their mind, but there will always be people who do not need evidence to believe in certain things.
